Baitadi, April 3: The Amargadhi Community Consumer Forest at Sharmali area of the remote Shivanath Village Council of Baitadi has completed construction of 26 km long road in the district.

The road stretch was constructed at a total cost of Rs 10.5 million. The Village council also funded about Rs 2.5 million for the construction of the road, according to Karna Singh Saud, a member of Forest.

The 26 – km road links Sullekhan locality of Shivnath Village Council to Nagarjun Ghat at the Nepal – India border.

A local from Shivanath -1, Kamala Chand said the construction of the road had facilitated people living in the area. “We are now relieved of the dependency on India,” she said. RSS
