CHITWAN, April 7: The District Education Office (DEO), Chitwan is to launch a campaign aiming to bring school dropouts back to schools.
According to District Education Officer Gobinda Aryal, the program aimed at searching for those children who quit schools during the mid-year and make them return to schools. This drive is to be implemented through 33 community learning centers.
The campaign will kick off with the beginning of a new academic session and will run for three months. The center will be awarded cash of Rs 6,000 for making a student to return to a school.
Though the school enrollment is around cent per cent, the dropout rate is relatively high in the district. Most of the dropouts are from the Chepang communities of hilly villages. RSS
