Reporters’ Club felicitates the newly elected FNCCI members

KATHMANDU, April 13: Reporters’ Club Nepal has felicitated the newly elected members of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), the umbrella body of private sector, at its gallery on Thursday.

Club’s President Rishi Dhamala congratulated and extended a successful tenure to the FNCCI team.

Speaking during the program, the newly elected president Bhawani Rana expressed her commitment that FNCCI, under her leadership, would work in interest of country’s development and economic prosperity.

Stating that local level election would open a door to economic prosperity in country, Rana added, “The country expects development as is the only choice. The FNCCI commits to carry out as many as development projects for the economic prosperity of the nation through joint efforts from public and private sector.”

Rana, who also became the first woman to assume the post of FNCCI president in the 51 year history of the organization, also pledged to continue the previous development projects FNCCI and drive it in consistent with the new federal setups.

Adding that being elected as the President of FNCCI had added even more duties and responsibilities, she stressed on the need to work in practical manner for economic transformation.

Also, she stated that FNCCI, in coordination with the Urban Development Ministry, would initiate the project of Smart City in all seven provinces.

She also said that she had planned to organize interaction and consultation programs with the media persons every three months for feed backs and improvements of the organization.

Newly elected Senior Vice president of the FNCCI, Shekhar Golchha highlighted the need to be united under Team Bhawani and work together to meet the targets set by the chamber. He pledged to end the culture of groupism within the organisation and run it effectively.

Likewise, vice president of FNCCI from District and Municipal chapter Pramod Shrestha said that he, by minimizing the challenges seen in the current policies, would come up with new policies friendly to entrepreneurs.

Vice president of FNCCI from Associates Chandra Prasad Dhakal committed to make the FNCCI a transparent and result-oriented federation and insisted on the need of cultivating the cordial relationship between labour and entrepreneurs to get an expected outcome in the business sector.

Also, speaking during the program Reporters’ Club Nepal’s president Rishi Dhamala stating that the country was entering into a new era of economic transformation and development, suggested the new leaders of the federation to work with new visions of economic prosperity.

FNCCI Treasurer Gyanedra Lal Pradhan, President of FNCCI Tulsipur chapter, Bimal Rijal, social worker and member of FNCCI Yagya Bahadur KC were also present in the program.
