POKHARA, April 13: Domestic tourists have flocked Pokhara on the eve of the Nepali New Year 2074.

Hotels in Pokhara have become packed due to the tourist flow and hoteliers here are busy welcoming guests.

According to the Western Regional Hotel Association outgoing chair and Pokhara Tourism Council vice chair Bharat Raj Parajuli, rooms in all hotels in the town have been booked for today and tomorrow as domestic tourists continue to flock to this city rich in natural beauty to celebrate the Nepali New Year (Baisakh 1).

This tourist arrival has elated hotel owners in the area with their hotels occupied fully. However, arrival of foreign tourists in the aftermath of the Gorkha earthquake is not satisfactory, he added.

There are around 500 hotels (including five five-star and 14 three-star) in the town that have been opened to particularly serve tourists. RSS
