Dry landslide disrupts Narayangadh-Muglin road section
CHITWAN, April 14: The Narayangadh-Muglin road section has been obstructed since 9 am today due to the dry landslide that occurred at Charkilo along the road.
The place has, however, been witnessing landslides for three consecutive days, said Narayangadh-Muglin Road Project Engineer Shiva Khanal, adding that no human casualties were reported in the incident.
Engineer Khanal shared the debris fallen from some 35 metres on the road is being cleared to bring back vehicular movement on one of the busiest road sections in the country to normalcy.
More than 9,000 vehicles pass through the road section in a day on average where the road expansion project is being undertaken.
There are 11 places at high risk of landslide that fall along the road section stretching to 36 kilometres in length.
The disrupted road is likely to come into operation after an hour, said Khanal. RSS
