Polls after announcement of budget inappropriate: Dr. Mishra


KATHMANDU, April 24: UML lawmaker Dr. Banshidhar Mishra argued that conducting local polls after the announcement of budget would be inappropriate technically as it was against the election code of conduct and suggested the government to explore other possibilities.

Stating that Prime Minister Dahal had separately held meetings with opposition UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front before deciding to amend the bill for the third time.

“What can UML say on such matters?”, he added speaking during an interaction program at the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Monday.

He further added, “The contents of the revised bill should be discussed keeping UML in front of the table.”
