UML to field industrialist Shrestha for top post of Beni

MYAGDI, May 2: CPN (UML) will field Pramod Shrestha for the top post of the Beni Municipality during the local level elections slated for May 14.

The second largest party took the decision to announce its candidate in Myagdi on Monday night. CPN (UML) Myagdi Chair, Hari Krishna Shrestha, said the party took the decision to field industrialist Shrestha, who is also Federation of Nepali Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Central Vice President.

UML Myagdi had recommended Pramod Shrestha, Surat KC and Raj Kumar Thapa to the Province no 4 Committee via the District Committee. The candidate registration is taking place today.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress has announced Hari Kumar Shrestha as its candidate for the top post in the municipality. The Beni Municipality has 18,345 voters including 8,503 male voters and 9,842 women voters.
