NC mayoral candidate vows to develop a prosperous metropolis

POKHARA, May 8: Nepali Congress’ mayoral candidate for the Pokhara Leknath Municipality said it is his party’s dream to turn Pokhara into a prosperous metropolis.

NC candidate Ramji Kunwar made the comment while taking part in a door – to – door campaign at ward nos 28, 31 and 32 on Sunday. He insisted that his top priority was to develop a prosperous Pokhara dreamt by a common man.

“After my victory in the election, I will launch the campaign for developing a modern Pokhara with a master plan,” Kunwar insisted, adding “Congress Kaski has already prepared a five year declaration paper of development and made public the plan for a prosperous metropolitan city; it will be my first duty to implement it.”

Saraswoti Gurung, who is running for the deputy mayor’s post in the city, vowed to start the construction of a regional bus park from the very next day of election results. RSS
