Up to 42 per cent voting as of noon

KATHMANDU, May 14: Voting as of this noon has been recorded between 25 to 42 per cent in the first phase of local level elections taking place today.

Voting began at 7:00 this morning in 281 local level units of 34 districts in province no. 3, 4 and 6. As of this noon, 42 per cent voting was recorded in Manang, 35 per cent in Kaski and Baglung and 30 per cent in Mugu, according Election Commission spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma.

Reports have not been received of voting been withheld or postponed in any voting centre, according to Joint Election Mobilization Centre at the EC in Kathmandu. RSS
