NC wins in two more local units; altogether nine wins

KATHMANDU, May 16: Nepali Congress (NC) has also emerged victorious Dhungeshwor rural municipality of Dailekh and Barhagaun Muktikshektra rural municipality of Mustang, according to latest update.

In Dhungeshwor, NC’ candidate Nagendra Malla got victory garnering 2787 votes while Sita Gyawali of NC has been elected as deputy chair. Malla defeated Man Bahadur Bista of UML, who managed 2628 votes,  and Khagendra Puna Magar of Maoist Center who got only 92.

Similarly, in Barhagaun Muktikshetra, Phenchok Chheptan Gurung of NC has been election as chairperson while Dhiki Gurung of UML as the deputy chair. Chheptan garnered 654 votes to defeat his nearest rival Ramesh Gurung of UML who managed only 638.

With these wins, NC has now won in nine local units so far while UML and Maoist Center each has victory in eight local units.
