China provides construction materials to Upper Mustang folks

MUSTANG, June 1: Neighboring China has provided construction material support worth amounting to Rs 70 million to two rural municipalities of Upper Mustang.

The China government has aided various construction materials to the locals of two rural municipalities – Lomanthang and Dalome – of Mustang bordering to China.

China has been providing construction materials and food grants to Upper Mustang every year.
Area Police Office, Lomanthang Chief Jeetendra Balami shared that the China government has provided 100 tons cement, 50 tons iron rod, 6,000 pieces of plywood, 10,000 pieces bamboo plywood, 7,000 pieces wood keep and 11,000 pieces zinc corrugated sheets.

The materials transported through Korala border checkpoint were handed over by the representatives of Chinese government to the chiefs of two rural municipalities.

The construction materials would be distributed to the locals of two rural municipalities of Upper Mustang in a way to encourage them to use for the construction, shared Chief of Dalome rural municipality, Lopsang Chhomphel Bista. RSS
