Three girls nabbed with 15-kg opium

BUTWAL, June 8: Police on Wednesday netted three girls in possession of 15-kg contraband opium at Belhiya along the Nepal-India border.

The Area Police Office, Belhiya arrested them with opium in course of security screening while they were supposed to supply the drugs to Indian market.

In course of security checks, police team found that the girls were hiding the opium on their private parts.

The arrested are Bikhmaya Budhamagar, 27, of Ghorahi, Dang, Sakuntala Budhamagar, 21, of Lalmatiya, Dang and Kamana Punmagar, 19, of same place.

In the preliminary investigation it was found that the girls took the job to carry opium to Sunauli from Butwal on condition of getting Rs 15,000 at the phone, police said.

The value for the amount of opium recovered from the girls is Rs 25 million, shared Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Belhiya, Rabin Bista. RSS
