UML forced out of govt due to good performance: Nembang
ILAM, June 22: CPN-UML parliamentary party leader Subas Chandra Nembang has said that the UML was removed from the government because other parties could not stand its good performance in power.
Addressing an election gathering in Ghubirse Panchami bazaar of Ilam yesterday, the former Speaker said other parties were jealous of the good work done by the UML and thereby forced it out. He also claimed that it was UML that forced the announcement of the date of the local level elections, even though the government was reluctant and looking to postpone it under various pretexts.
Stating that the new constitution binds the himal, pahad and tarai together, leader Nembang called for full enforcement of the statute.
He also claimed that the UML will continue to lead in the second phase of local level elections. On the occasion, leader Nembang welcomed more than 100 persons who joined the UML after abandoning various other parties. RSS
