Excessive heat in Siraha taking toll
SIRAHA, July 19: Scorching heat in the past few days has affected normal life of people in the district.
People’s movement has been restricted largely as they are finding it difficult to step out of their homes due to excessive hot, the locals said.
The blowing of hot and dry wind alongside sweltering temperature has added to the woes of the locals.
Similarly, with excessive heat taking its toll, cases of people suffering from diarrhoea, cold and fever are rampant while snake-bite incidents are increasing, health workers said.
The District Hospital is receiving 40 to 50 patients of the diseases on a daily basis, said hospital medical superintendent Dr Chuman Lal Das.
Likewise, the pressure of snake-bite cases at the hospital and the snake-bite treatment center is also increasing, he added. RSS
