UML will become top party in province 2 polls: Mahaseth

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Leader of the main opposition party CPN-UML, Raghubir Mahaseth has claimed that his party will emerge as the top party in the province 2 election slated for September 18 in province 2.

“Even if we don’t form alliance with any other parties, we will secure more than 45 percent of votes,” said Madhaseth while speaking at an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Friday.

He also cleared that UML was open to poll alliance except for Nepali Congress.

On the occasion, leader Seth also said that UML would finalized the name of candidates in all 136 local levels by coming Sunday.

He accused Nepali Congress to be another form of Madhesi party as the party has been running by foreign powers.

Mahaseth also challenged Nepali Congress and Madhes-based parties to defeat UML in voting. He added, “Some groups of hooligans cannot chase UML from Madhes. We are not afraid.
