BIRATNAGAR, Nov 2: CPN-UML chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the leftist alliance has been formed in association with the parties sharing the same ideology for the stability of democracy.

Parties should be formed on the basis of political principles and ideology, he stressed.

He also made it clear that at the time of forming the alliance no any agreement has been made with the CPN (Maoist Center) that the post of Prime Minister would be offered to him after the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections.

The UML chairman also claimed it is his party that would solidly protect the nationality and steer the country towards prosperity.

Stating that the RPP had approached them seeking their cooperation in the election in Jhapa district constituency-3, Oli said the leftist alliance has decided not to field candidacy from that constituency on behalf the leftist alliance to support the RPP.

UML chairman Oli claimed that his party was committed to democratic stability, peace and maintaining social harmony in the country. It is never in support of violence, he asserted.

Oli was on the way to Jhapa to file his candidacy for the House of Representatives elections from Jhapa constituency-5. RSS
