IED exploded targeting team transporting ballot box

JAJARKOT, Nov 27: An improvised explosive device was exploded, targeting a team carrying ballot box at Kushe Rural Municipality-1 in Jajarkot this morning. The first phase of elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies were held in 32 districts including in Jajarkot on Sunday.

Shanta Bahadur Basnet who was carrying the ballot box at the time suffered minor injuries in the explosion, according to Superintendent of Police Bhawesh Rimal.

The ballot box was being taken to the district headquarters Khalanga.

The explosion caused further no damage and the ballot box is secure, and will be reached to the district headquarters by this evening. Hand of the Communist Party of Nepal (Biplav) has been suspected in the explosion, according to DSP Rimal. RSS
