People are eager to see left alliance government: Pokhrel
CHITWAN, Nov 28: CPN-UML leader and a House of Representative candidate from Chitwan constituency -2, Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel said that people are eager to see left alliance government.
Pokhrel further claimed that the voters will elect left alliance candidates across Nepal since Nepali Congress, despite garnering majority for three times, could not work in interest of the country.
“People are keen to see communist rule in the country. Therefore, they will vote left alliance in the coming elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies,” added the left alliance candidate, Pokhrel while speaking at an election interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal in Chitwan on Tuesday.
Pokhrel, who is also Chitwan UML chairperson, furthered that it was irony that Prime Minister and NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed fear that if communist government is formed, democracy and people’s freedom would be taken away. He added, “CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist center) are committed to periodical election, rule of law, liberal judiciary and protecting human rights. Left alliance can’t make any sort of compromise regarding democratic norms and values.”
On the occasion, he described Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal as a great leader and political and added that no force can stop him from winning the election.
“Chair Dahal defeat his rival with more than 15 thousand votes,” Pokhrel expressed his confidence. Chair Dahal is contesting polls for a parliamentary seat from Chitwan-3.
He also claimed that he would defeat his competitor and NC candidate Sesh Nath Adhikari in elections. He said, “People know Adhikari is not from this district, not even a voter of this constituency. I am confident he will not win.”
