NC aggrieves death of temporary police in bomb blast

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: The Nepali Congress (NC) has expressed sorrow over the death of temporary (Myadi) police person Binod Chaudhary in a bomb blast near the party’s election assembly at Tulsipur of Dang on Tuesday.

The NC central party office, in a press statement today, prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. The party has demanded the government provide proper compensation to the victim’s family and ensure better treatment of the injured

The 18-year-old Chaudhary of Tulsipur Sub Metropolis who was injured in the blast breathed his last in course of treatment at the Kohalpur Medical College. Locals Dev Kumari BC, Joni BC, Nep Bahadur Khatri, Himlal Ramjali, Bomraj Sunar and Narapati Budha who were also injured in the blast are receiving treatment at the Kohalpur Medical College and Rapti Zonal Hospital.

According to the police, the bomb went off shortly after NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba , senior Ram Chandra Poudel and General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala among other party central leaders reached the program venue.

The party has said, “The recurrence of such premeditated incidents aim to finish democracy is really sad and objectionable.”

“The NC leaders, cadres, well wishers, supporters and voters who have abundant love for the party will not be deviated at all, and the party utterly condemns the blast intended to kill the NC leaders and cadres,” central party office secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said in the statement .

Such incidents are an open interference in the citizens’ unalienable rights to assemble peacefully and a mockery of the democratic culture as well, the party concluded, demanding the government take all possible measures not to let such untoward incident reoccur in the future and immediate arrest of the guilty in the explosion. RSS
