UML’s Gupta victorious in Kapilvastu

KAPILVASTU, Dec 10: CPN-UML’s Brijesh Kumar Gupta representing the left alliance won a seat in federal parliament from Kapilvastu constituency 2. He received 35,147 votes to defeat his nearest from contender Nepali Congress Surendra Raj Acharya who received 31,566 votes.

Likewise, NC’s Birendra Kumar Kanodiya claimed a Kapilvastu 3 ‘B’ Provincial Assembly seat by defeating his nearest rival CPN (Maoist Center)’s Jabed Alam Khan. Kanodiya garnered 6,679 votes, while Khan 6,307 votes. RSS
