NC leaders polish shoe for ‘political purification’

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: An interesting sight caught many attentions today in New Baneshwor on Tuesday.

Some leaders of Nepali Congress were seen sitting on the pavement and polishing shoes of the pedestrians turn by turn.

Leaders like Dhanraj Gurung, Chandra Bhandari, Daman Nath Dhungana among others had participated in the program named ‘shoe polishing program for political purification’ hosted by the Krishna Prasad Bhattarai Foundation on the occasion of Martyrs Day.

Saying there is no respect of labor in Nepal, leader Bhandari said that the campaign has been started to follow the Krishna Prasad Bhattarai’s ideology.
