Province 6 Chief Minister Shahi expands cabinet

SURKHET, Feb 18: Chief Minister of Province 6, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, expanded his cabinet on Sunday.

The Chief Minister inducted new members to his cabinet after four days of his appointment on the post, following an agreement on sharing of posts between the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center).

Naresh Bhandari, lawmaker from Jumla, has been appointed the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law and Bimala KC from Rukum has been appointed the Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives. They both are from the Maoist Center.

Likewise, UML’s Prakash Jwala from Salyan (Economic Affairs and Planning), Khadga Khatri from Surkhet (Infrastructure Development), Nanda Singh Budha from Dolpa (Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment) and Dal Rawal from Humla (Social Development) are the ministers on his cabinet. RSS
