Sharma elected Deputy Speaker of Province 4

POKHARA, Feb 18: CPN-UML’s Srijana Sharma has been elected as the Deputy Speaker of Province 4 on Sunday.

Sharma, who was supported by the left alliance, garnered 38 of the total 56 votes.

Nepali Congress’ lawmaker Man Kumari Gurung and Rastriya Janamorcha’s Piyari Thapa had also filed the candidacies for the post.

Independent lawmaker Rajiv Gurung is yet to receive the oath of office and secrecy.

Speaker of the province Netra Nath Adhikari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sharma amid a program today itself.
