KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Embassy of People’s Republic of Bangladesh is organizing the 4th Bangladesh Expo 2018 and 2nd Nepal-Bangladesh Business Forum at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall from February 23 to 27.

Organizing a press meet at the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Tuesday, the Embassy of Bangladesh stated that the five-day trade fair is being organized with a view to further enhance the existing excellent trade and business relations between Bangladesh and Nepal and to introduce and familiarize the Nepalese entrepreneurs and consumers to the wide variety of products that are being produced and exported globally by Bangladesh.

“The primary objective of having this expo is to familiarize the Nepali entrepreneurs and consumers about the various kinds of products that are being produced and exported in Bangladesh,” said Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal Ms. Mashfee Binte Shams.

“This is also an opportunity for the Bangladesh entrepreneurs to become familiar with the big market of Nepal,” she added.

“The trade relation between the two countries is the best way to take the relationship forward because we must work together for socio-economic development and future prosperity,” she furthered.

The Expo will showcase products of entrepreneurs and renowned business houses from Bangladesh including building and construction materials, furniture, diversified jute products, readymade garments, sarees, ladies dress, plastic products, cosmetics, ceramics/tiles, leather products, textiles, footwear, electronics and appliances, handicrafts, generators/machineries, processed food, IT solutions, education institutions, consumer products, batteries, bathroom fittings, motorcycle, jewelry etc.

The Expo will also showcase an Art Exhibition exhibiting the works of 23 renowned artists from Bangladesh with a view to showcasing the vibrant cultural traditions of Bangladesh.

The Embassy also informed that selected Nepalese exporters have also been invited to showcase their products at the Expo with a view to promoting Nepalese exports to Bangladesh.

The Embassy said that the Expo is expected to create a platform for exchange of information and ideas and provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs of the two countries to explore B-2-B linkages for harnessing the available synergies in the areas of trade and business for mutual benefit.

The Embassy is being assisted by event management company U Turn, Bangladesh in collaboration of Synthesis Exhibitions and Events Pvt. Ltd, Nepal in organizing the Expo.
