No voluntary retirement to civil servants without medical certificate: Minister Pandit

BIRATNAGAR, March 21: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Lalbabu Pandit, has said civil service employees remaining as the competent human resources could not be given voluntary retirement.

Talking to media persons briefly at the Biratnagar Airport Wednesday, he announced that only physically and mentally disabled employees certified medically would be eligible for taking voluntary retirement from office duty.

“They need to go to assigned work stations as per the requirement; otherwise, the government would not hesitate to take action against them.” The government had a compulsion to send its employees to all three levels in the existing transitional period.

According to him, all ministries will get a letter by Sunday to depute employees to assigned offices. “Employees violating the order shall face music as per the Civil Service Act,” he said, adding that a 78 per cent had already reached the assigned workplaces. RSS
