Langtang Literary Journey

RASUWA, May 19: The Langtang Literary Journey held to commemorate those who died in the massive earthquake of 2015 has concluded.

At least 10 poets travelled to Langtang and paid tributes to the departed souls by reciting poems in a journey which lasted from May 10 to 13.

The journey was organized by Rasuwa Artists Society and led by advocate and litterateur Phurpa Tamang. The journey was held to send a message that Lantang is safe for visit.

Phurpa Tamang, Dipendra Singh Thapa, Abhisekh Adhikari, Sanju Kumar Dangol, Sujina Lawat, Bijaya Tiwari and Bhimsen Pandey were among the poets who recited the poems. The poems written by Shyam Rimal, Chandra Gurung and Gyanendra Neupane on Langtang were recited at an altitude of 3,400 meters above sea level. The poets travelled for two days from Syanfrubeshi to reach Langtang. RSS
