Rafting starts in Karnali river

DHANGADI, June 2: Around 900 tourists took to the river in raft boats on Friday in the Karnali river’s Chisapani section – a tourist destination in Kailali – to mark the advent of the adventure sport here.

Domestic tourists from Nepal and foreign tourists from India took part in the adventure sport of rafting in the raging river as part of an internal tourism promotion campaign to mark the Kailali Visit Year – 2075.

The rafting held from Kuane area to the south towards Chisapani section was organized by the Godavari Chamber of Commerce.

Province no 7 Chief Minister, Trilochan Bhatta, flagged off the adventure sport with a green flag.
