KAHS officials accused of their involvement in the recent vandalism



SURKHET, July 23: Officials of Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) have been accused of having their hand in the recent vandalism occurred there.

The Employees Welfare Society, Academy of Health Sciences has said that the July 19 incident was deliberate, predetermined and was made as per the plan of the Academy officials.

Academy vice-chancellor Dr Rajendra Raj Wagle and other office-bearers have been accused of mobilizing students of Health Assistant and Staff Nurse program for the vandalism.

The vice chancellor and his team have been accused of planning not to allow Karnali Province Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Naresh Bhandari, meet agitating senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC before he was airlifted to the central capital.

The mass was deliberately provoked to make a twist to the atmosphere when the ministers reached there to meet Dr KC, society chair Ramkanta Upadhyay said. The society has demanded against the ‘perpetrators’ and compensation to the loss.

Nepal Medical Association, Karnali chanpter’s Jumla chair Dr Mangal Rawal has blamed the role of the Academy officials for the incident. RSS
