Bicycles distributed to 34 women health workers

RAJBIRAJ, July 28: The Bishnupur rural municipality office has distributed bicycles to 34 female community health volunteers.

The availability of bicycles with the FCHVs is expected to make health services provided by them more effective, rural municipality Vice-chair Janjira Devi Yadav said.

Despite a crunch in budget, it was made available for the support to the FCHVs through other budget headings considering the sensitiveness of the service, according to Chief Administrative Officer Ranjit Jung Adhikari.

“It will now be easier for us to travel to and from the health post and the ward office,” FCHV Arula Devi Yadav said. RSS
