One killed, 15 injured in Tanahu micro bus- truck collision

TANAHU, July 30: A woman died and 15 others sustained injuries when a microbus collided with a truck at Chirkane in Byas Municiplaity-12 along the Prithivi Highway this morning.

According to the District Police Office Tanahu, the deceased has been identified Sabina Rai, 19, of Bokshing Municipality in Bhojpur district.

The microbus (Ba 2 Kha 1138) en route to Pokhara from Kathmandu collided with the truck (Ba 4 Kha 1124) coming from the opposite direction. Critically injured in the accident, Rai succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital.

Out of 15 injured, three critically hurt are receiving treatment at the Pokhara-based Metro City Hospital while rest12 have been admitted to Damauli-based Ratnahari Memorial Hospital, police said.
