Updated: Nuwakot bus accident

NUWAKOT, Aug 15: One person has been confirmed dead while the number of the injured has also increased in a bus accident occurred at Lamatar of Bidur Municipality-9 late this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Motimaya Tamang, 56, of Tupche of Bidur-7 who was among the nine referred to Kathmandu for further treatment died amidst the treatment, police said.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bheem Lal Bhattarai, Tamang who had been taken to Kathmandu on a helicopter breathed her last in course of treatment at the Grande Hospital.

Others injured who have been sent to Kathmandu are Prem Singh Tamang, 56; Hom Bahadur Tamang, 57; Diwamaya Tamang, 20; Chhiring Tamang, 75; Purba Bahadur Lama Tamang, 56; Bir Bahadur BK; Uttam BK and Mangalimaya Tamang, 40. They have been admitted to the Green City Hospital and Grande Hospital.
Others are being treated at the Trishuli Hospital.

The bus (Ba 2 Kha 2804) en route to Kathmandu from Bungtang of Myagang Rural Municipality-2 fell some 40 meters down into the millet filed as the road caved in from its edge when the bus was trying to clear space for another vehicle.
