NA’s Heath Institute provides scholarship of Rs 62.4 million
KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Nepal Army Institute of Health Sciences provided the scholarship of Rs 62.4 million in a year alone.
The Army Welfare Fund has informed that the Institute provided full scholarship to the students of 96 non-military families in the last fiscal year.
Director at the Fund, Brigadier General Raghu Bhandari, shared the information that students belonged to various streams as medical study, nursing and medical poly technique.
There are altogether 8,338 students in various streams in the army institutes run by the Fund. Among these, 2,887 are the students from the non-military families.
Meanwhile, Nepal Army has also provided free education to Sonish Awal of Bhaktapur Muldhoka, who was rescued live after 22 hours of the Gorkha earthquake.
He is provided Rs 50,000 every year for his study from the Chief of Army Staff Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
Awal is to get free education from Grade 6 at Army Military School. RSS
