Stadium construction in limbo

RUKUM, Sept 6: The Pandhunga Stadium being constructed at Musikotmunicipality-2 in Rukum (West) has been in limbo.

The construction of the stadium that began from the fiscal year 2070/71 BS witnessed no progress as the budget was not appropriated for the same from the fiscal 2074/75 BS.

The Sports Ministry claimed that the budget for the construction of stadium was already released to the local level, yet budget was not appropriated from the local government, shared the District Sports Committee. It is not certain whether the budget will come this year or not, the committee added.

Some six local people had donated 19 ropanis of their land for the construction of stadium. The land donors are frustrated to see stagnation of the stadium construction. RSS
