One foreign national dead, eight injured in Okhaldhunga jeep accident
OKHALDHUNGA, Sept 17: A foreign tourist was killed and eight Nepalis were injured in a jeep accident at Ghurmi at Udayapur district on Monday.
The foreign national has been identified as Hules Stevels whose nationality has not been known, according to Ghurmi Traffic Police In-charge Ram Kumar Shah.
Of the eight others injured in the incident, all are Nepalis. Two of the injured are in very critical condition and preparations were being made to send them to Kathmandu for further treatment, shared In-charge Shah.
The incident took place when a jeep (Na 2 Ja 7969) travelling to Okhaldhunga from Kathmandu met with an accident nearby Ghurmi Bazar at Katari Municipality-14 in the district, according to the District Police Office, Udayapur.
The jeep had fallen some 100 meters off the road. RSS
