CK Raut produced before apex court

Kathmandu, Nov 15 : CK Raut, who was arrested in a case of treason, was produced before the Supreme Court. Arrested in Rautahat, Raut was presented before the apex court today. 

Raut’s brother Jayakanta Raut had registered a writ of habeas corpus against Ministry of Home Affairs and others claiming that his brother was held in illegal detention.

In response, the apex court directed the authority concerned to produce Raut before the court with reason in writing for detaining him.

The detainee was presented before the court as per its order and hearing into the case is set for Friday, shared Supreme Court’s Assistant Spokesperson Nagendra Kalakheti. (RSS)
