Govt committed to promotion of quality education, reaffirms Minister Pokharel
Kathmandu, Nov 16 : Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has reaffirmed the government’s commitment for promotion of quality education in the country through effective implementation of the latest technologies.
Minister Pokharel said so addressing the 2018 Global ICT Leadership Forum held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, today. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT along with the National Information Society Agency (NIA) of South Korea, according to a press statement released by the Nepali Embassy in Seoul.
Highlighting some of the major initiatives being undertaken by the Ministry of Education, Pokharel asserted that the major initiative of “Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali” had accorded a high priority in building the educational and ICT infrastructure for the achievement of the objectives set by the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Minister also underscored the significance of establishing and nurturing the physical and human infrastructures, especially for the developing countries like Nepal to reap the benefits and steer a rapid and sustained socio-economic development through the best use of data, artificial intelligence and networking.
