Govt against pillars of democracy: Dr Sangraula
Janakpurdham, Nov 18 : Nepali Congress central member Dr Dila Sangraula today accused the government of attacking pillars of democracy.
“A threat is looming large against democracy as the government is apathetic to the attacks on people’s rights, judiciary and press freedom and there are increasing incidents of violence, rape, murder, inflation and corruption,” she said viewing that the NC should not keep silent about the issue.
She was speaking at a provincial level workshop organised to seek suggestions in relation to the NC’s political proposal.
Blaming the government for trying to make the provincial government irrelevant and to risk federalism, she also urged the NC leadership to come forward to save democracy and the federalism. (RSS)
