KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Prime Minister and Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party, KP Sharma Oli, has said the party unification process would reach its logical conclusion soon.
During the meeting with the NCP lawmakers at his residence Baluwatar on Friday, PM Oli suggested them putting forth their views, keeping in mind party’s rule and policy.
He however admitted, “Some uncertainty has surfaced because the party unification process has not reached the conclusion. But it will be finalized soon.”
Although the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center) were united on May 17, 2017, the taskforce has still been carrying out unification at lower levels.
The PM further said the parliamentary party meeting would be held regularly and parliamentarians would be oriented on different issues. He also urged the ministers to set up close relations with lawmakers.
“The ministers cannot remain in contact directly with the people in some context. So, the ministers have to listen to the people’s views and remain in contact with them through the parliamentarians,” he underscored.
