CIAA Commissioner Pathak resigns

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Commissioner at the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Raj Narayan Pathak has submitted his resignation to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Friday.

He rendered his resignation as per the Article 238 of Nepal Constitution and it will come into effect from today, according to the Office of President.

Earlier, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) parliamentarians had warned Pathak they would move an impeachment motion against him if does not resign on moral ground for his alleged involvement in receiving a bribe from a management committee official of an engineering college in Bhaktapur.
