Aditya Jha conferred with Canadian Business Leader of the Year 2019 Award

KATHMANDU, April 27: Aditya Jha, a Canada-based Nepalese entrepreneur, philanthropist and social activist, has been conferred with Canadian Business Leader of the Year 2019 Award.

Niagara University bestowed the award on Jhan amid a function organized at Conference Center Niagara Falls in New York, the USA on Wednesday.

“It was an evening of great honor to be bestowed “Business Leader of the Year 2019” award,” Jha wrote on his Facebook post after the Awards dinner event.

“I was overwhelmed and felt honored by the response of numerous business leaders and the leaders of the university after my acceptance speech.”

“The honor and recognition I received last night by the Niagara University, New York will be etched in my memory forever and I am deeply grateful for that to Dean Mark Frascatore, Chair Vincent Agnello and Asst. Prof. Patrick O’Meara,” he wrote.

The university also honored Uniland Development Company with Corporate Leadership Award, Karen L Howard with Distinguished Accounting Alumnus Award, Joseph Dash with Family Business of the Year Award and Larry Quinn with Dean’s Award.

Born in Janakpurdham, Jha is the President and Chief Executive Officer of DGMARKET INTERNATIONAL INC, the oldest and one of the largest portals for tenders and consulting opportunities worldwide, integrating about one million procurement notices per year, covering about $1 trillion tender opportunities.

Also the chairman of POA Educational Foundation, Jha has an active involvement with One Child One Laptop campaign in Nepal since 2008 and has donated more than 100 laptops to rural village schools.

Jha was also honored with The Order of Canada, the highest civilian award, in 2012.
