Govt to ensure primary healthcare at all wards

KATHMANDU, May 3: The government has aimed to avail primary healthcare covered in the health insurance scheme to all the patients at local levels.

In the new policies and programs for the next fiscal year unveiled in federal parliament’s on Friday, it was shared that the government would construct a specialized hospital in all seven provinces.

The government has also planned to operate well-equipped treatment centers in all seven States across the country within three years.

The oldest health facility in the country-Bir Hospital- would be upgraded on par with the international standard.

Next year, a well-equipped building would be built at Duwakot of Bhaktapur to relocate Bir Hospital from Kathmandu.

The government aims to bring all the Nepalis under the ambit of health insurance next fiscal year.

Also, the Central Health Lab would be upgraded and the National Treatment Center well-equipped.

Free health checkups would be provided to detect cervical cancer and breast cancer spreading among the women in Nepal. Immunization drive would be launched against cervical cancer. RSS
