First All Nepal Open Full-contact Karate from Friday

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Nepal Kyokushin-Kan Karate Association is set to organize the first All Nepal Open Full-contact Karate Tournament 2019 from August 30-31.

A total of 20 teams from 17 full contact Karate associations, departmental teams Nepal Army, Nepal Police Club and Armed Police Force will take part in the tournament to be held in Pokhara Stadium covered hall, organizers said in a press meet on Wednesday.

Likewise, Altogether 276 players (both men and women) will compete in 14 weight categories.

According to the association, the tournament will be the biggest Karate competition ever held in Nepal.

The tournament will aim at identifying and producing national level players, the organizers said.
