Senior and acclaimed journalist Acharya passes away



KATHMANDU, Oct 6: Senior and acclaimed journalist Rajendra Dev Acharya passed away today. He succumbed to his liver-related ailments at the age of 61. He had served in Nepal Television as the Head, and he was currently working for News-24 as its news head.

Acharya passed away while undergoing treatment for his liver ailment at Thapathali based Norvic International hospital. He was cremated with honor at the Pashupatinath crematorium as stated by his family members.

He was profoundly involved in the field of journalism including writing several articles, his program on television titled ” Chintan Mannan ( Contemplation)” was a popular show among the Nepalese masses. He is survived by his wife and a son.
