Chinese President Xi receives guard of honor at TIA

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: President of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping received guard of honor upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday.

Xi arrived at the TIA in the afternoon for a two-day official state visit of Nepal.

He was received by his counterpart President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the VVIP lounge.

Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli and ministers were at the airport to welcome Xi and visiting delegation.

Xi will meet Bhandari at Sitalniwas later in the evening before attending a dinner hosted by Bhandari at Hotel Soaltee.
