China will assist Nepal transform from landlocked to land-linked country: Xi Jinping

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: President of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping has said that China is ready to help Nepal transform from a landlocked country to a land-linked country.

Delivering a speech during a state banquet hosted by President Bidya Devi Bhandari in honor of the visiting President in the capital, Xi added that China is ready to open numerous trade transits with Nepal.

“China will also increase support in post-quake reconstruction as well,” he furthered.

Expressing happiness on Nepal’s achievement of political stability, social harmony and establishment of peace, Xi pledged to increase investment in education sector of Nepal, promote Visit Nepal Year 2020, address Nepal’s concerns on climate change and maintain ecology around Everest region.
