Nepal-China relation strong, free of any problems: Prez Bhandari

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that Nepal-China bilateral relation is based on mutual understanding and respect, and is strong and free of any problems.

Delivering a statement during a state banquet organized in honor of the visiting President of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, Bhandari said, “The relation between Nepal and China is deep as ocean and high as the Mount Everest.”

“Our relation is based on mutual understanding, respect, and well-being is close. Nepal-China bilateral relation is strong and free of any problems,” she added.

“There are extreme possibilities to take our relation which is based on Panchasheel to a new height,” she furthered.

Xi arrived in Nepal on Saturday afternoon on a two-day official state visit. He is scheduled to hold a delegation-level bilateral talks with Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli tomorrow. The two leaders will also witness signing of a dozen agreements an MoUs following the meeting.

Xi is also scheduled to hold meeting with Nepal Communist Party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal before leaving for China in the afternoon.
