Chinese President Xi meets NC President Deuba, NA Chair Timilsina

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: President of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping has called on Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and National Assembly Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina on Saturday.

During the meeting, Chair Timalsina thanked Xi for visiting Nepal and highlighted the importance of China’s assistance in Nepal’s journey of prosperity.

Timilsina also expressed gratitude for the opportunity that Nepal is becoming a part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

In response Xi said China is ready to extend every possible support to Nepal in the realization of its goal of Prosperous Nepal Happy Nepali.

Likewise, NC President Deuba assured Xi of Nepal’s commitment toward one China policy and support to BRI.

Deuba further said Xi’s visit would take the bilateral relation between Nepal and China to a new height and expressed confidence that both countries would benefit from trade, energy, infrastructure, and other sectors.
