Nomination filing for by-election set for Nov 7 and 13

KATHMANDU, Oct 18: The Election Commission has set the date November 7 and November 13 for filing the nomination for the upcoming by-election scheduled for November 30.

According to a press release issued by the EC on Friday, the nomination filing for the House of Representative member in Kaski-2 and Provincial Assembly members in Bhaktapur 1 (A), Baglung 2(B) and Dang 3 (B) will be open from 10: am to 1:00 pm.

The nomination filing date for the election of three rural municipality chief viz. Falgunanda Rural Municipality of Panchthar, Makalu Rural Municipality of Samkhuwasaba and Pipara Rural Municipality of Mahottari district; Kharpunath Rural Municipality deputy chief; and 43 ward chairs in 40 local level of 34 districts has been set for Nov 13.

The by-election is electing one House of Representative member, three Province Assembly members, three Rural Municipality chairs, one Rural Municipality vice-chair and 43 ward chairs.
