“Till when will you continue looting country and citizens?”–media person’s query irates Rayamajhi (With Video)
KATHMANDU, Oct 22: Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Top Bahadur Rayamajhi was irate after a media person accused the political leaders of robbing the country and people.
Rayamajhi was shedding light on the achievements of the government during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club on Tuesday when a media person asked him until when the government and the leaders continue the loot.
“You opined that citizens being able to use facebook is a great achievement. If we go only two kilometers across the border, development is a different thing there. Till when will you continue looting the country and the citizens? Till when will you be irresponsible?” the media person asked.
The choice of words while questioning was too heavy for Rayamajhi that he ended up warning the media person to learn the manner of speaking before asking the question.
“What do you mean… loot? Your tongue of out of control. You are a media person, and thus, should learn to have manners and choose your words correctly”
“Be it media, citizens and politicians, the word loot is an incorrect and inappropriate word.”
“I don’t think it necessary to answer such an inappropriate question.”
“I don’t think having access to the internet is everything.”
“Top Bahadur Rayamajhi is not here to rob the people. I am an elected representative of the people. We came to power winning the trust of the people. Criticisms are okay. Even I do that. But no one has the right to accuse us unnecessarily,” Rayamajhi said.
