Dinesh Sunar to attempt for fourth world record at America’s Got Talent
KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Three times Guinness world record holder Dinesh Sunar, also known as Parkour Dinesh,’ will attempt for the fourth world record when he auditions at America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 15.
A part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell, the audition for the AGT Season 15 kicked off in San Diego of California on Nov 10. The audition will round for nearly three months traveling to Louisville (Nov 19), New York (Nov 23), Dallas (Dec 14), Miami (Dec 17), Las Vegas (Jan 7), Cabazon (Jan 18) and Los Angeles (Feb 1).
The 25-year old gymnast said he will travel to the United States on Monday for New York audition where he will aim to set another world record in ‘most burpees twist back somersaults in one minute.
Sunar already holds world record for staggering 18 backflips in the most twisting backflips off a wall in one minute, which he set in 2017; 16 backflips in most backflips in 30 seconds, which he achieved in 2018; and ‘most twisting backflips off a wall in 30 seconds’ which he set in March this year.
“I feel proud to represent Nepal in the AGT,” said Parkour, who will be representing the country for the first time in the global talent show.
“I hope I will be selected for the next round,” he added.
Sunar said he will attempt another record in ‘most back somersaults trampoline in one hour’ if he is selected in the next round.
“I am also thinking of most webster front flips in 30 seconds in other stages,” he added.
“I have collected the courage to represent my country on the world platform. I hope my people will support me.”
Also a stuntman, Sunar also took part in the USA Parkour Cup, participated by gymnasts from 80 different countries, where he finished eighth.
